Manifestation – What I Wrote on My Mirror Six Months Ago, and Why It Matters

Anna Baylis 5 min read

Six months ago, as part of my manifestation practice, I picked up a marker and wrote three words on my bedroom mirror.

Welcome to Oasis.

Every morning I woke up and those words were the first thing I saw. Some mornings they felt like a promise. Some mornings they felt impossibly far away.

A few weeks ago my son looked at those words and said to me — Mum, what if no one joins?

I stopped for a moment.

And then I said, I do not think like that. Otherwise I would never have created it.

Fear can stop us in our tracks. I know that. I have felt it. But I also know that if I had let that fear lead, Oasis would still be just an idea. Still just three words on a mirror.

Today, Oasis is open.

Why I write my goals on my mirror

I have always been a believer in making your goals visible. Not just writing them in a journal that sits in a drawer, but putting them somewhere you cannot avoid them. Somewhere they greet you every single morning before the noise of the day begins.

Your mirror is perfect for this.

You stand in front of it every day. And when your goal is written right there, you cannot pretend you have forgotten it. You cannot let it slide to the back of your mind. It stays present. It stays alive.

For me, writing Welcome to Oasis was an act of faith. A declaration that this was not just an idea. It was something I was committed to creating. Something I believed in enough to put into words before it existed.

Manifestation is not magic, it is alignment

I want to be honest about what manifestation actually is, because I think it gets misunderstood.

It is not about thinking positively and waiting for things to appear. It is about getting so clear on what you want that every decision, every action and every choice starts to move you toward it.

Writing my goal on the mirror kept me aligned. On the hard days when building Oasis felt overwhelming, I walked past those words and remembered why I was doing it. On the days when I doubted myself, they reminded me that I had already committed.

Fear can stop us in our tracks

My son’s question was an innocent one. But it pointed to something real, the fear that stops so many of us from even beginning.

What if no one comes? What if it does not work? What if I pour everything into this and it fails?

I have learned that those questions are not a reason to stop. They are a sign that what you are creating actually matters to you.

The women I coach come to me having let fear make too many decisions for them. Fear of getting it wrong. Fear of not being enough. Fear of trying and failing again.

And one of the first things we do together is separate the fear from the truth.

The truth is, I know Oasis can help hundreds of women on their health and wellbeing journey. I have seen what happens when women are given the right support, structure and community. I watched it happen inside M.O.V.E for four years.

That knowing is stronger than the fear.

M.O.V.E showed me what was possible

Four years of running M.O.V.E showed me something I could not ignore.

Women flourish when they have ongoing support. Not a one-off workshop. Not a 6 week challenge. Ongoing, consistent, structured support for their health and wellbeing.

I watched women transform. I watched them find their voice, rebuild their relationship with their body and create habits that actually lasted. And I knew, this needed to reach more women.

That knowing became Oasis.

What I teach my clients about manifestation

The women I coach often come to me having stopped believing in their own dreams. Life got busy. Disappointments accumulated. The gap between where they are and where they want to be started to feel too wide to cross.

And one of the first things I ask them to do is get clear on what they actually want. Not what feels realistic. Not what they think they are allowed to want. What they truly, deeply want for their life.

Then we make it visible. We write it down. We put it somewhere they will see it every day.

Because here is what I know to be true, you cannot create what you cannot see.

Your invitation

What do you want to write on your mirror?

Not the safe version. The real one. The one that feels a little scary and a little exciting at the same time.

Write it down. Put it somewhere you will see it every morning. Let it greet you before the fear gets a chance to.

And then start taking the small, consistent steps that move you toward it.

That is what I did. That is what brought Oasis to life.

Today I am standing in front of that mirror knowing that the three words came true.

They will for you too.
